How To: Halloween Chocolate Molds!

Today I made some chocolate candy molds for our Halloween Party. My awesome neighbor works for Wilton and always gives me bags full of free stuff! The other day she gave me a big rat candy mold! So ugly but so perfect for a Halloween party!

To make a candy mold you need:

Your mold

Candy melts

Some piping bags

and Scissors

Take your piping bag and roll it down

Melt your chocolate and take a tall glass and put the piping bag in it like so…

And this makes it easier to fill the piping bag if you’re working alone…which I almost always am

Once that hardens up, just fill the rest of the mold with the color of your choice

And pop it in the freezer for about 30 minutes until you can easily pop it out.

Here’s another mold I have… tombstones and skulls. I’m going to use these on cupcakes and I will also have a post on that! For these I stuck toothpicks in it while it was still hardening up. This will make it easier to stand up in the cupcakes I’m using these for.

These molds are really cheap at Michael’s and they come in all different designs for any holiday or theme!
